Thanks to everybody who turned up for our first rogaine of the year on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. It was a tough course with plenty of route options available. With over 350 participants, many of which were first-timers, it was a great way to kick off the ACT calendar.
Take some time to have a look through some of the photos here taken by Photography extroadinaire, John Harding.
Congratulations to Susie Sprague and Selina Stoute who took out the Womens category, while Tom and Keira Banks took out the Mixed category. Overall winners and winners in the Mens category were Ryan and David Stocks with Martin Dent and Owen Radejewski a close second. See the full results via the link below.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Paddy Pallin in a couple of weeks time along with the AGM straight after!

Registration, Map Availability, Start Times
The 2022 Ainslie Majura Unearthed event will commence by way of a mass start at 16:30 sharp on Saturday February 19, with a final briefing at 16:15. Registration will open at 15:30.
To register, one person only per team to register and collect maps. That person will need to:
Electronic scoring: As this event is using the Navlight system of scoring, each team member will be issued with a wristband and tag upon registration.
You will also be given pre-marked maps, control descriptions, course setter's notes and a small copy of the map to be used as a flight plan. We recommend that you arrive at least an hour prior to the start of the event to allow enough time for final preparations and route planning. Each team must mark their intended route on the flight plan and hand it in before starting.
Map and Course Details
There will be one A4 map (210x297mm), 1:25,000 with 10 m contour interval. Magnetic north lines are marked on the map. Out of bounds areas are marked in grey and pink shading. It contains mainly native bush with small areas of cleared land. The course setters notes and control descriptions have been printed on the back. The altitude ranges from approximately 600 to 850 m.
Pink areas have been marked separately to the grey areas as they contain a number of rare plants that have regenerated with all the recent rain. You must not go off track in these areas; however, if a marked track goes through the pink areas, you are allowed to pass through along the track.
The map is printed on Teslin paper which is very tough and generally does not need to be covered in contact.
Due to large rainfall, there is a lot of long grass on course so gaiters and/or long pants are highly recommended.
Water
Please bring enough water for Hash House use and for at least 3 hours on course. There are no water drops on course; however there is a water fountain at the top of Ainslie. We do not recommend drinking any water found on course without sterilisation.
Other Information
Hartley Lifecare will provide a basic spread of cakes, fruit and cordial at 19:00. Please bring your own plate, bowl, cup and cutlery.
It is summer in Canberra with plenty of long grass out there, so that means be prepared for snakes. Be familiar with correct treatment of a snake bite and carry a mobile phone to call 000 in the event you are bitten.
